Since the establishment of the first corporate retail academy in Hong Kong in 2018, the company has contributed significantly to the development of talent in the retail industry, leading the market in a new retail era while simultaneously implementing its commitment to bringing happiness to all customers. AS Watson Group Retail Academy currently operates 17 qualification courses accredited by the Qualifications Framework, providing students with over 1.6 million hours of professional training. More than 5,000 students have completed professional retail management courses and obtained qualifications recognised by the Education Bureau at levels 2 to 5. Students are trained to advance into the next level of functional positions through a comprehensive promotion ladder that allows them to establish clear career goals. A variety of positions are covered in the courses, including store assistants and operations managers. Everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and realize their potential regardless of their qualifications or backgrounds.

Furthermore, the Group will fully subsidise potential employees for the "Professional Diploma in Retail Management" and will provide paid leave for employees to attend classes at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University during working hours. By promoting talent development in Hong Kong's retail industry, the Retail Academy will inject a new vision into the industry.

A variety of staff activities and wellbeing initiatives are organised, and an internal social communication platform is used in order to foster communication and interaction among staff members.
