Method
Tip: Sautéing the sauce enhances the flavor of the mushrooms, releasing a wonderful aroma! If you prefer a spicier taste, you can add more pepper and salt while stir-frying until the sauce reduces!
- Score the mushrooms to resemble abalone.
- Cut the bell peppers and chili into strips and dice.
- Heat a pan with oil and sauté the garlic; chili lovers can add some extra chili for flavor!
- Add the 8 mushrooms, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, and an appropriate amount of white pepper. Mix well to season.
- Add enough water to cover the mushrooms and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the mushrooms to absorb all the essence of the sauce.
- Add the bell peppers and stir-fry on high heat until the sauce reduces.
- Finally, sprinkle with chopped scallions and sesame oil for an aromatic finish
