Our parent company, AS Watson Group, is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) since 2020. PARKnSHOP supports effective policies and programmes to stop the clearing of forests. We are committed to a goal of having 100% of our Own Brand products incorporate or contain RSPO-certified palm oil by 2030.
Certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) provides consumers with options to choose products that have been sourced in an environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and economically viable manner.
PARKnSHOP has set a goal to ensure that 100% of our Own Brand paper products and paper packaging come from responsible sources (i.e., FSC, PEFC, or recycled) by end of 2024.

We have committed to the following actions to reduce plastic waste in our Own Brand packaging:
- Eliminating unnecessary packaging by 2030, avoiding over-packaging, and phasing out PVC
- Aiming for a minimum of 20% recycled plastic content in plastic packaging by 2025, subject to supply availability
- Promoting packaging that is more recyclable or reusable
In our in-store and online operations to reduce plastic waste:
- We provide packaging-free options for fruits and vegetables
- We offer paper bags for customers to use for fresh fruits and vegetables
- We encourage customers to drop off and share surplus shopping bags with other customers
- In our online shopping operations, 85% of delivery orders utilise reused carton boxes

Since 2014, PARKnSHOP has voluntarily taken steps to eliminate microbeads from our Own Brand rinse-off cosmetics and personal care scrub products.
In line with our commitment to environmental responsibility, PARKnSHOP ceased selling all rinse-off cosmetic and personal care products containing microbeads at its stores starting from January 2020.
As of 2019, we became the first supermarket chain in Hong Kong to provide refill stations for laundry and personal care liquids. Customers can bring their own containers and conveniently refill personal care and home care products at our stations.
